Website proposal · Eye Consultants MD

Your new website, already in focus.

Dave, I did not just write a proposal. I built three working homepages for EyeConsultantsMD.com first, using the real services, doctors, and patient reviews from ReeveWoods.com. Open them on your phone today and tell me which lens looks clearest.

Changes you ask for in plain English
Three lenses

Same practice. Three different looks.

Each lens is a full, working homepage with your real content: LASIK, cataract, refractive lens exchange, glaucoma, primary eye care, and optical, plus your three doctors, real patient reviews, a co-management section for optometrists, a FAQ, hours, and a contact form. The photos are stand-ins and the doctor portraits are placeholders until we swap in your own.

Lens 1 homepage: bright white layout with clear medical blueLens 1
Lens 1

Clinical Clarity

Bright white and clear medical blue, with lots of breathing room. Every service is one tap away. Reads like a modern, well-run practice you can trust on the first visit.

Clean modern sans

Best if you want the site to feel calm, current, and effortless for every kind of patient.

Lens 2 homepage: dark, elegant layout with a refined accent colorLens 2
Lens 2

Surgical Premium

Dark, elegant, and technology-forward. Leads with LASIK, cataract surgery, and your lens implant options like the Light Adjustable Lens and PanOptix Pro. Feels like a top surgical practice.

Elegant serif + sans

Best if elective surgery (LASIK, premium lenses, refractive lens exchange) is where you want to grow.

View live Lens 2 →
Lens 3 homepage: warm cream and green layout with Northern California sceneryLens 3
Lens 3

Northern California Community

Warm cream, forest green, and golden light. Your Chico eye doctors for the whole family, from school-age kids to grandparents. Leans hardest into local search.

Friendly serif + sans

Best if most new patients find you by searching "eye doctor near me" in Chico and Butte County.

Which is clearer: Lens 1, or Lens 2?

The eye exam

Lens 1 or Lens 2? …Or about the same?

You know the drill better than anyone. Here is the side-by-side, so you can flip between them the way your patients do in the exam chair.

Better with one? Or a little of each? Pick one, or mix them. For example, Lens 2's surgical section inside Lens 1's clean layout, or Lens 3's warmth with Lens 1's service finder. Just tell me which parts.
Already working in the lenses

This is work product, not a pitch.

The hard parts of your job post are already built and clickable. Try them on your phone.

A service finder

Jump links straight to LASIK, cataract, RLE, glaucoma, primary care, optical, and co-management, each with a plain-language explainer.

Structured data for Google and AI

Clinic, doctors, procedures, and FAQ marked up in schema, so search engines and AI assistants can read the practice correctly.

A real FAQ

Eight-plus patient questions answered in plain language, from "how long is cataract surgery?" to "do you take my insurance?"

No-PHI contact forms

Every form tells patients not to share medical details, and asks only for what the front desk needs to call back.

Co-management for optometrists

A clear path for referring doctors: cataract, glaucoma, cornea, and refractive evaluations, with shared post-op care.

One-tap call on phones

A sticky call and consult bar on mobile, plus hours and a map link where patients look for them.

Approach

Built fast with Claude. Hosted where it is fast, secure, and cheap.

You asked for rapid development with Squarespace or Claude. I build with Claude every day, which is how three homepages exist before we have even talked. Here is the honest trade-off between the two ways to run the finished site.

Recommended

Claude-built site on Cloudflare

A hand-built modern site on Cloudflare's global network. These lenses are already running on it.

  • Fastest on phonesPages load almost instantly, which Google rewards and patients notice.
  • Full SEO and AI controlSchema on every page, llms.txt, exact 301 redirects from ReeveWoods.com, no template limits.
  • Secure and low costNo plugins or builder logins for bots to attack. Hosting is free or close to it.
  • You own itYour domain, your code, your Cloudflare account. Nothing is locked to me.
  • The trade-offNo drag-and-drop editor. Changes come through me: you describe them in plain English and they go live the same day.
Also a good option

Squarespace

If you or your staff want to drag, drop, and edit pages yourselves, I will build on Squarespace instead using the lens you pick.

  • Edit it yourselfA visual editor your team can learn quickly for text, photos, and hours.
  • Hosting includedOne monthly Squarespace subscription covers hosting and SSL.
  • Redirects supportedReeveWoods.com URLs can still be mapped with 301 redirects.
  • The trade-offCustom schema and llms.txt need code-injection workarounds, page speed is slower, and the design is bound by the template.
  • Ongoing feeA subscription for as long as the site runs.

My honest take: for a surgical practice whose goal is ranking in Google and being described correctly by AI search, the Cloudflare build wins. If self-editing matters more to you than the last bit of SEO control, Squarespace is a fine choice and I will set it up the right way.

Add Dr. Hastings' new photo and update his bio.Text it or email it. Live the same day.

Make a page for the PanOptix Pro lens.New page, with its own schema and FAQ, linked from cataract surgery.
SEO + AI search plan

Found on Google. Described correctly by AI.

More patients now ask ChatGPT, Google's AI answers, and other assistants "who does cataract surgery in Chico?" The site is built so both search engines and AI read the practice the same way you would describe it.

✓

Schema on every page

MedicalClinic and Optician for the practice, Physician for each doctor, MedicalProcedure for each service, FAQPage, and breadcrumbs. Already in the lenses.

✓

One page per service

LASIK, cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange, glaucoma, EVO ICL, Light Adjustable Lens, PanOptix Pro, eyelid surgery, eye exams, contact lenses, optical. Each one can rank on its own.

✓

One page per doctor

Dr. Woods, Dr. Hastings, and Dr. Levine, with training, focus, and the services they perform, linked both ways.

✓

FAQ that answers real questions

Plain-language answers on every service page. These are exactly the passages AI assistants quote.

✓

Google Business Profile alignment

Name, address, phone, hours, categories, and services matched exactly between the site and your profile, so Google trusts both.

✓

llms.txt

A plain-text summary at eyeconsultantsmd.com/llms.txt that tells AI tools who you are, what you do, and which pages to read.

✓

Local Chico keywords

Chico, Butte County, Oroville, Paradise, and Northern California worked naturally into titles, headings, and service pages.

✓

Keep ReeveWoods.com's rankings

Every old URL gets a 301 redirect to its new home, so years of search history move to EyeConsultantsMD.com instead of starting over.

✓

HIPAA-aware forms

Contact and appointment forms collect only callback details and say clearly not to send medical information. Doctor referral forms that need patient details move to a HIPAA-compliant form service or secure fax.

✓

Accessible to every patient

Readable text sizes, strong contrast, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader labels. It matters for older patients and for your accessibility statement.

Pay for performance SEO

I'm happy to tie part of my pay to your bottom line.

Beyond the build, I'm open to a pay-for-performance arrangement for ongoing search engine optimization. Part of what I earn would be tied to the results SEO brings the practice, such as new patients and consult requests, so my pay grows only when yours does.

There's no fixed formula here. I'd rather work out the structure with you, based on what matters most to the practice and how we measure it. If that sounds interesting, let's talk it through.

Next steps

Getting started.

  1. Pick a lens

Lens 1, 2, 3, or a mix. Open each on your phone and go with your gut.

  2. Pick a platform

Claude-built on Cloudflare, or Squarespace. A short call settles it.

  3. Send what you have

Logo, doctor photos, and anything about the name change. Phone photos of the office are fine.
